Travel from Hong Kong International Airport to the Hong Kong Island station is very simple. The Airport Express Train is the easiest and fastest mode of public transportation. The train ride is only twenty-three minutes.
The Airport Express Tourist Octopus Card is a good value for the tourist. The HK$220 card includes a one-way trip to the Hong Kong Island station, a three-day unlimited travel on the Mass Transit Railway(MTR) and HK$20 to travel the bus, the ferry, etc. The Octopus card comes with its own travel pouch.
There is a free Airport Express Shuttle Bus to transfer the tourist from the airport terminal to the train. Also, at the airport and the Hong Kong Island station, porters help with the luggage. There is free shuttle service to the major hotels from the Hong Kong Island station.
