Christmas Dream Symbol
In dream symbol language, there are "universal" symbols which have the same meaning for the general population due to our shared human experience and "accidental" symbols which have meanings that are specific to the individual based upon personal life experiences. For example, dream roses typically represent love because of their exquisite beauty and fragrance, but if a person associates roses with death and funerals, the appearance of roses in his dreams may feel more ominous.
Christmas is both a universal and accidental dream symbol. Christmas tends to have a favorable meaning, but it isn't always the case. When you dream about Christmas, consider the emotions felt during the dream and all of the other contextual dream clues.
Some dream interpreters believe that Christmas symbolizes family times but there are many other symbols that reflect family gatherings, too. Christmas, regardless of one's religious beliefs, is globally celebrated with a sense of good will towards all men so to me, when a dream is set in the Christmas setting, it is a reflection of benevolence, generosity, celebration, and love whether with or without family. Of course, for Christians, it is a dream symbol that reminds of spirituality and the Savior's role in one's life.
Common Christmas Dream Symbols
Christmas season.Regardless of one's religious background, when a dream takes place during the Christmas season, it is a symbol that indicates dreamer is or should be thinking about others in good will. Being charitable.
Christmas scene of past.Dreamer relives a past holiday. Consider what is going on and what feelings occur during this dream. Is there something that needs to be resolved? Or is the dreamer feeling nostalgic about what has passed and is no longer?
Christmas in New York City. Dreamer's life is preoccupied with career, commerce, socializing. A gentle reminder to enjoy the season and be charitable towards others.
Missing or skipping Christmas. Dreamer missed out on a life opportunity to give and receive.
Looking into a Christmas window, feeling left out in the snow. Dreamer can't allow himself to join in the warm celebrations due to some repressed emotions. He may feel as though the good life, with good times/friends/family, is passing him by.
Gazing in Christmas store windows.Dreamer is mulling over all of the options of what he wishes to include in his life. But as opposed to store windows of other seasons, these Christmas windows are offering virtuous or spiritual gifts rather than material goods.
Christmas Star. A guiding light from Divine Providence. Where is your dream star leading you?

Christmas angel.Pay heed to what this angel is telling you. She brings "tidings of great joy" and peace.
Christmas present. Dreamer will be given a gift. Not necessarily a tangible one.
Not having a gift to give.Feeling inadequate. Being unprepared. Search within, like the Little Drummer Boy, for a non-monetary gift that holds meaning.
Re-gifting.Not relying upon one's own resources. Giving what is not yours to give.
Sitting in a church pew at Christmas time.Needing spiritual refreshment. Seeking it through traditional means.
Being alone and lonely at Christmas time.Feeling spiritually bereft. Literally, feeling alone during a time when people gather in celebration.

Santa Claus. Dreamer has expectations of receiving from positive, benevolent sources. For example, receiving from his own hard work, from loving friends, rather than from criminal activity.
Christmas elves. Recognizing that others play small but essential roles in doing good. Pitching in a group effort for charitable cause. Dreamer should look for his Christmas elves in his waking life and show some appreciation. Look for opportunities to BE a Christmas elf, too, without any desire to recognition or reward for good deeds.

A murder taking place under the Christmas tree or on Christmas Day. Dreamer fears someone or something will mar this time of goodness. What or who is being killed and who is doing the killing or the ending of something. Does not indicate an actual murder. For example, a dreamer dreamt her boyfriend killed her mother on Christmas and this reflected how she resented that her boyfriend was snuffing out her maternal feelings and behaviors around the holidays (cookie baking, upholding her family traditions, etc.)
Death on Christmas. Who died? What does this represent to the dreamer? This is not always a prophetic dream. What will end on Christmas? Is it a relationship? A part of the self?
