Hong Kong Film Awards nominee - Jackie Chan

Hong Kong Film Awards nominee - Jackie Chan
Jackie Chan is a Best Actor of the Year nominee in the 24th Hong Kong Film Awards. The award show is March 27, 2005 in Hong Kong. His film ‘New Police Story’ is a Best Film of the Year nominee.

Jackie Chan has some stiff competition. Stephen Chow, Tony Leung Chiu Wai, Alex Fong, and Daniel Wu are his competitors.

‘New Police Story’, no relationship to the ‘Police Stories’ franchise which made Jackie Chan an international star, has a great story line. In this film, he plays Inspector Wing a veteran detective over a group of young cops. When this young, group of officers are killed, Inspector Wing becomes a drunken, broken man. A year later, forced by new events, Inspector Wing returns to duty. There comes the final showdown with the gang who killed his associates.
