Orchard Road Shopping
Guest Author - Taisha Turner

On Orchard Road, there are several high-rise shopping malls catering to the Singapore tourist’s desires. This is the main shopping district. Its location is on all street maps. The MTR and city bus service the area. The variety of goods found on this street is mind boggling. And as always the array of food is delicious.

Escape the Singapore heat and feel the soothing air-conditioning upon entering a high-rise glass and aluminum mall. Walk through the open and spacious atrium. Ride the escalator to the upper floors. Listen to the pulsating beats of the mall’s audio system.

The latest fashions are not the only items in the glass front shops. There are fine jewelry, cameras, audio equipment - the list is endless.

Do not miss the shopping malls on Orchard Road while in Singapore. The malls are a great place to people watch.

Travel Pillow
Flights to Southeast Asia are long. Bring your personal travel pillow to travel in comfort. The pillow is inflatable, therefore it does not take up valuable space. The cover is washable. If you are sensitive to lights, invest in eyeshades. Do not arrive to your destination sleep deprived.
