"This book will help the dreamer to write and the writer to dream." ~ David H. Rosen, M.D., "Advance Praise for Night Wings."
As a writer, I was intrigued by the title of this book and the concept of using our dreams for creative writing. Using my dreams to create poetry, short stories or non-fiction had never occurred to me.
This instruction actually comes toward the end of the book, where Nelson shares her practice of "Writing a Dream Forward." She includes instruction and exercises for developing characters and plots and for manifesting your dreams.
The first half of the book is devoted to recording your dreams. Nelson puts forth a fresh perspective on writing down your dreams and gives several helpful tips. Exercises and meditations are included in this section as well. Nelson discusses the dynamics of dreaming and provides valuable guidance for dreaming as a spiritual practice.
Even if you have no interest in developing your writing skills, the information and guidance presented are valuable tools for anyone engaging in a dream journal practice. Night Wings - A Soulful Dreaming and Writing Practice is highly recommended as a permanent part of your dream reference library.
May all your dreams come true!
