Cheesy Garlic Bread Recipes

These are great, gooey, garlic bread recipes. They have the comfort food factor of Mozzarella cheese.

Cheesy Garlic Bread Recipes

Recipe I

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, room temperature
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh oregano
  • Pinch of red pepper flakes
  • 1 loaf Italian bread, sliced in half lengthwise
  • 1 cup Mozzarella cheese, grated

Directions

  1. Mix the butter, garlic, oregano, and red pepper flakes together.
  2. Score the bread into serving size pieces. Don't cut all the way through the bread.
  3. Cut the bread horizontally in half.
  4. Score the bread in serving sizes, but don't cut all the way through the bread.
  5. Spread the butter mixture onto the bread.
  6. Bake the bread at 375F for 5 minutes.
  7. Top the bread with the Mozzarella cheese and bake for 5 minutes.
  8. Broil the bread for 2 minutes to toast the top.
  9. Serve warm.

Recipe II

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, room temperature
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/8 cup fresh basil, minced
  • 1 cup Mozzarella cheese, grated
  • 1 loaf long Italian bread

Directions

  1. Mix the butter, garlic, basil, and Mozzarella cheese together.
  2. Cut the bread horizontally in half.
  3. Score the bread in serving sizes, but don't cut all the way through the bread.
  4. Spread the butter-cheese mixture over the bread.
  5. Bake the bread at 375F for 10 minutes.
  6. Broil the bread for 2 minutes to toast the top.
  7. Serve warm.
