These are great, gooey, garlic bread recipes. They have the comfort food factor of Mozzarella cheese.
Recipe I
Ingredients

- 1/2 cup butter, room temperature
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp fresh oregano
- Pinch of red pepper flakes
- 1 loaf Italian bread, sliced in half lengthwise
- 1 cup Mozzarella cheese, grated
Directions
- Mix the butter, garlic, oregano, and red pepper flakes together.
- Score the bread into serving size pieces. Don't cut all the way through the bread.
- Cut the bread horizontally in half.
- Score the bread in serving sizes, but don't cut all the way through the bread.
- Spread the butter mixture onto the bread.
- Bake the bread at 375F for 5 minutes.
- Top the bread with the Mozzarella cheese and bake for 5 minutes.
- Broil the bread for 2 minutes to toast the top.
- Serve warm.
Recipe II
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter, room temperature
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/8 cup fresh basil, minced
- 1 cup Mozzarella cheese, grated
- 1 loaf long Italian bread
Directions
- Mix the butter, garlic, basil, and Mozzarella cheese together.
- Cut the bread horizontally in half.
- Score the bread in serving sizes, but don't cut all the way through the bread.
- Spread the butter-cheese mixture over the bread.
- Bake the bread at 375F for 10 minutes.
- Broil the bread for 2 minutes to toast the top.
- Serve warm.
