A Comedy Straight From The Gutter
Guest Author - Gary King

The title for this article was written on the holder for a new comedy DVD about bowling. It is tabbed as a hilarious spoof of the most popular sport today--Bowling!

According to the author or publisher of this DVD, Bob Zany, this is a non-stop, outrageous comedy starring the Unknown Comic, Bob Zans, and a cast of the most off-the-wall characters ever assembled!

It is supposed to be approximately 40 minutes in length and is not rated.

I requested a review, evaluation copy and they sent me one to evaluate. But when I put it in my computer DVD, it would not play correct. So I called them and they sent me another one. Same result! When a third DVD did the same thing, I called them and they told me that I would have to use a regular DVD player to view it, since it would not work on my computer DVD.

Bottom line is that if I were the author or creator of this DVD, I would definitely make sure it worked on a computer DVD because not everyone in the world has a DVD player. I have never taken the time to play or see enough DVDs to buy a regular DVD and on occasion, if I want to view a DVD, I do so via my DVD player in my computer. But since this Life In The Bowling Lane DVD will not work in a computer, it means you would have to buy a DVD player to play it. So, instead of just buying a comical DVD, you would have to buy the DVD player also.

So I will not review this DVD because I know a lot of people who bowl who have DVDs in their computers, like I do, but do not own a DVD. And I sure would not buy one just to watch one DVD.

This is another example of someone not using a lot of common sense and intelligence to create a comical DVD that EVERYONE could watch without have to resort to buying something in order to do it. My own opinion is that this DVD will never make it (but I could be wrong) unless they redo it so it will work in the DVD in computers.
