Travel Aids - Tips to Avoid Mosquito Bites
Here are six simple tips to avoid mosquito bites while traveling in Southeast Asia. The bite of an infected mosquito can transmit the parasitic disease, malaria. Use these simple tips to prevent mosquito bites.

1. Use an insecticide-treated bed net.

2. Use insect repellent

3. Don’t wear perfume, cologne or heavily scented lotions.

4. Try not to wear clothing with dark colors or floral patterns.

5. Cover up as much as possible.

6. Don’t swat and provoke them.

The above tips are good to use around the house, too. Keep antihistamines and alcohol swabs in the first aid kit. Use mosquito coils in the yard and/or on the Southeast Asia trip.
