Basic Bingo Rules for Baby Showers: With all BINGO games there are basic rules that are the same. The middle square is an automatic "freebie" that players mark off from the very beginning. As the game progresses, players mark off the appropriate squares. When a player has all five squares in a row, column or across in a diagonal filled in they cry out "BINGO!" to win the game and claim their prize. The first guest to holler "BINGO!" wins although the game master should check the card over to make sure it is a true win.

One of the benefits of doing one of these "easy" BINGO games is that you do not have to fill the cards out ahead of time. You only need to print off the blank BINGO form cards. Less work for the baby shower coordinator!

Baby Shower Gifts Bingo Game - To play this version of baby shower bingo print and handout blank bingo cards to all the guests at the beginning of the event. Instruct everyone to fill in the squares with whatever they think the mother might receive as a gift when she later opens the presents that were brought for her.

Your baby shower guests do not have to match the words they write in the squares with the letters of BINGO at the top, but rather just fill in whatever they want, in whatever order they like. Common entries might include bib, blanket, diapers, wipes, baby lotion, etc. While many guests might use the same, or similar words, they will be filling in the cards themselves so each person will probably be writing them into a different square.

Baby Shower Guests BINGO Idea - Another version that doesn't require you to fill out the squares ahead of time, in this version of Baby Shower BINGO you have each person write down the names of the other shower guests (Note: if there are less than 24 guests they can use some names more than once, but not in the same row, column or diagonal.) until each square is filled. If there are more than 24 guests then some names will be left off each card making it even more difficult to have duplicates.

A good time to have guests fill this BINGO card out would be during the eating portion of the shower so the people are moving about and each card will have a different order to the names.

As the mother-to-be opens her gifts, the guests will cross off the square associated with whomever gave the present. So when the mother opens the present from "Aunt Susie", everyone would mark off the square, or squares, where they had written Aunt Susie's name. This also encourages everyone to pay attention to the gift giving time.
