All About Budgerigars - DVD Review

All About Budgerigars is a DVD that is all about the wonderful little bird commonly called the Budgie (or Parakeet in the United States).

You are able to watch flocks of these birds in the wild – flying, feeding or nesting and raising their babies. Many breeders seldom have the opportunity of watching the parents feed the baby birds, but in this movie, everyone can watch.

It shows the birds in the wild because the best way to understand our pet birds is to understand what their life would be like in the wild, since our pet birds retain their wild instincts.

The movie shows what to look for in choosing a pet Budgerigar – whether to buy from a pet store or a breeder and the differences between the two. It shows a wonderful selection of foods to feed your pet as well as foods to avoid.

You will learn how to tame your pet Budgie as well as some tricks to teach him or her. You will also learn how to keep your bird safe in your home.

Potential Budgie owners will be much more prepared if they watch this before bringing their bird home and will enjoy watching it again once they have their own little bird.

I highly recommend this video for anyone interested in these wonderful little birds. Children and adults alike will enjoy watching and will learn from it, whether they are new or experienced bird owners.

As an extra note, I was pleasantly surprised to find that this DVD, shipped from Australia, arrived in my home exactly one week after it was sent. Mail within Canada often takes just as long or longer.

I have a short video of Sweetie the Budgie and since he is new to my home I am still trying to figure out what he says. Please take a look (he's hard to see, but you can hear him) at Hi Sweetie and maybe you can help me figure out his words.
