Quick 'n Tasty Hoisin Marinade for Chicken or Salmon Try this easy to make marinade from hoisin sauce. This spicy, slightly sweet sauce is made from soybean paste, vinegar, garlic and a bit sugar. Some sauces may have additional ingredients, but these four ingredients are what makes hoisin sauce. The result Hoisin sauce is a dark reddish brown spicy sauce and what helps to make those ribs in Chinese restaurants so tasty and tender. Ingredients 2 tblspn orange juice 1 small piece orange peel (remove pith or white part) 4 tspn honey 4 tblspn hoisin sauce Directions Use this marinade for 8 salmon steaks or 8 skinless chicken breasts. Pat meat dry and brush marinade on both sides. Cover and place in refrigerator for at lease 30 minutes. Broil or grill meats, brushing with marinade to keep moist and flavorful.
