TVexe.com brings world wide TV to your desktop. This 1.2 meg application software will enable anyone with Windows Media Player or Real Player to watch any of over three hundred TV stations from around the world on your personal computer at NO cost.

Simple to use plug and play experience now makes it possible for anyone with Windows 98/95/2000/ME/XP and NT 4.0, 1024 x768 screen resolution (or higher), and a high speed ISP (x-DSL, Cable or LAN, Wireless WiFi) to access online TV without special downloads or configurations.

TVexe is live online streaming TV available 24/7 from any location in the world with broadband ISP. The stations provide the programming and TVexe runs the broadcasts through a 640x480 pixels screen NTSC. Since TVexe switches automatically between formats, you benefit by being able to watch differently formatted TV shows broadcast in English, Francais, Portugues, Deutsch, Espanol, and Arabic - all through the same application.

The popularity of music videos worldwide are evident by the twenty-odd music stations available through TVexe. twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. My personal favorites include the UK's 3BTV.com TV Underground, which features an assortment of producers, writers, animators, and musicians dedicated to a high level of multi media productions, and Mania TV and Alternative.nu from the United States.

Once opened, you will see a "Live Channel Guide" in the upper right hand corner. This gives you immediate access to many of the different categories of TV, such as; shopping networks, news, sports, weather, educational, public service, and the different language selections.

Below the Live Channel Guide is the "Stations by Regions" menu. Choose from stations from North and Central America, South America, Europe, Asia/Middle East, Southeast Asia, Africa & Australia, and World TV A to Z.

Thanks to the 'live stream' format, there is not a need for internal storage and/or updates to TVexe. Station listings are updated in real time from one of the four world wide servers that provides the feed. Each server runs independent of the other three and assures continual operation in the event one server should go down.

If you're concerned about downloading an .exe file, as I am, Softpedia has verified that TVexe is virus free, spyware free, and adware free. If you're going to invite a new application on board, that's always good to know. It's not malicious invaders that do the most damage to our beloved computers - it's sites we thought we could trust to provide us a clean download.

You can download the free version of TVexe at www.TVexe.com . Many other download sites are listed on TVexe homepage, including a mirror site at Tucows that includes an uninstall with the download. Once downloaded, you will be asked if you would like to upgrade to TVpro2 for a one time $25.00 fee. You will have additional channels, including the BBC, available as part of the upgrade package. But you do not have to upgrade to have immediate access to the three hundred plus channels.
