On May 15 the twelfth anniversary of the International Day of Families will be commemorated all over the world. This is another one of the United Nations observances that started twelve years ago with the signing of resolution 47/237 by the Untied Nations General Assembly on September 20, 1993. It is to promote awareness of issues relating to families and to promote appropriate actions. This year’s theme is “Changing Families: Challenges and Opportunities.”
