MEASUREMENT CONVERSIONS


Use an accurate digital scale when weighing your ingredients.

A fluid ounce is not always the same as a weighed ounce.

Always use the same spoons to measure, some teaspoons or table spoons may not be exactly the same.


3 teaspoons = 1 tablespoon

1 tablespoon = 1/2 fluid ounce

1 fluid ounce = 6 teaspoons

1 fluid ounce = 2 tablespoons

1 ounce = 30 grams by weight

4 cups = 2 pints = 1 quart

2 cups = 1 pint

1 lb of Beeswax = approx. 16 fluid ounces

1 lb of Soy wax = approx. 18 fluid ounces

1 pound of solid wax (paraffin) = approx. 20 fluid ounces (2 & 1/2 cups)

1 pound = 16 ounces by weight

1 cup = 8 fluid ounces = 16 tablespoons = 48 teaspoons


Some weight to weight percentages:

1/2 oz (by weight) into 1 pound of wax is equal to approximately 3%

1 oz (by weight) into 1 pound of wax is equal to approximately 6%

1 & 1/2 oz (by weight)into 1 pound of wax is equal to approximately 9%
