A gel candle is a nice change of pace and can add a different touch to any room. The appeal of making gel candles is the transparency of the gel. Making Hand Dipped Candles  Hand dipped candles or tapered candles is easy and fun to make. They were the first candles to be used for providing daily lighting. Of course we no longer have to use tallow and reeds with the advent of paraffin and wicks. So, let´s get started and gather our materials.
Making sand mold candles  Making Sand mold candles is an easy and fun way to add a different touch to you homemade candles. It adds a change of pace and each sand mold candle is unique and allows you to creatively add a different touch to a room. This is one candle making project that the whole family can enjoy.
Making Tallow for candles  Tallow as you know was one of the first mediums for making candles and soaps. Tallow is made from various animal fats that are melted down and clarified. This process is called rendering, which is a process for separating fats from other organic materials.
Multiple wick candles  The making of a multiple wick candle is done by spacing several wicks an equal distance apart. This particular candle making project contains five wicks. The additional wicks will add a magical touch to any room. You may choose to use a circular, oval, square or rectangular mold for this project.
Never throw away old wax  When you deal with candles on a daily basis you are sure to have burned-down, beat-up or lopsided candles. never throw them away. These can be re-used to make new candles. Overdipped Crystal candles  Putting a crystal overdip finish to a candle can be achieved with the following technique. It can be used with almost any candle made at home or bought at a store.This crystal overdip will add an almost dew like, frosty, shimmering appearance to your candle.
Rejuvenating Candles  Here is a project that can rejuvenate or add character to some of those old candles you have milling about the home. From time to time we all have candles that we would like to add some accents to, whether it be for fun or to compliment the d�cor of a certain room it is to be placed in.
Snowball candles  Winter is rapidly approaching and in some areas it may seem like it has already arrived. Snowball candles can be fun and easy to make and can be enjoyed by the entire family. This project will let you be creative and add a festive tone to your typical winter décor.
