Aromatherapy, An introductory guide to the healing power of scents, written by Nicola Jenkins, published 2004 , is a book especially for readers who want to learn about the fabulous wonderful workings of aromatherapy and essential oils. The slim 96 page book introduces readers to aromatherapy basics, popular essential oils, and methods used to obtain aromatherapy benefits.
The book also introduces the reader to aromatherapy in a straight forward no nonsense approach taking readers on a step by step journey. The book clearly discusses essential oils, blending methods, and how to use them in a way the novice might quickly understand.
Readers learn the benefits of various oils along with cautionary warnings. Readers also are introduced to various massage techniques along with appropriate oils. Readers learn how essential oils affect one's moods. How and why essential oils help cure many health conditions. Aromatherapy, An Introductory Guide to the Healing Power of Scents, Written by Nicola Jenkins is certainly an interesting book on aromatherapy.

The last section in the the book is focused on teaching readers basic massage techniques to use at home. The accompanying photographs on various massage techniques help guide the reader in proper massage technique. But it might be too broadly focused for some. The book covers a few of the more popular essential oils. Would of liked to see more oils covered.
The Author Nicola Jenkins teaches massage, aromatherapy, reflexology at the college level in London. And has authored several aromatherapy books and health guides.
