Does your child answer before having had a chance to ask him or her the question you were about to? Do you notice your child announcing where they are or what they would like to eat just as you were wondering yourself? If your child seems to stand out from other children or connect on a psychic level, they just might be.

Children these days are expressing an unusual type of sensitivity. They may seem older and wiser than their age suggests. They may be drawn more so towards animals, nature, environmental concerns and showing great empathy towards peers even offering solutions of sorts in adult situations.

When any child shows atypical signs of development it can be hard to decipher what precisely is going on. Psychic kids especially may show and experience symptoms of depression, sleeping disorders, isolation, moodiness, ADD/ADHD and carry with them even more pressing issues as they head into school of being put on medication. Although appropriate in some situations it may not always be the case for psychic kids.

At the same time it can be difficult for these kids to express what they are going through, parents of psychically gifted children hold the greatest potential in helping their children adjust to their abilities. Letting them know you are in their corner and can talk with you about what is happening while finding a network of like minded children and someone they can talk to outside of the home can be especially helpful.

If they seem to be having trouble sleeping, especially if they are reporting seeing apparitions, “playmates” angels or relatives who have passed, listening without alarm or exaggeration will provide neutrality for what they are going through. If they are especially bothered, giving your child power in protective prayer, and the option or choice of telling the visitors to go away, rather than treating the events as being terribly fearful will help them as they get older should their gifts carry on. Many times the abilities themselves will fade just as quickly as they came about.

Like any gift children with psychic abilities do not need to be seen any more or less than a child musically or artistically talented. Finding a place where they can nurture, adjust and appreciate their abilities while empowering their drive and eventual life purpose, is the type of support that will benefit them the most. As parents, remember, guiding the child and helping them deal with the information they are receiving will make all the difference in the world with what they came here to do and remains the reason they had you in mind for the job in the first place.
