The Candlemakers best time of year.

That's right, the holiday seasons are approaching us quickly. It is time to check your inventory and supplies. Unpack everything that you stored for the summer it's time to shift your candlemaking into high gear. Summers almost over and Fall is fast approaching. It is getting closer to the time of year that all candlemakers are at their busiest. This is the time we all love, whether you make candles to give away, for business or your own personal use. Pull up those recipes, collection of scents, colors and waxes.

The days are getting shorter the nights are longer, which means cooler temperatures are on the horizon. The collection of holidays is about to be upon us. Be sure that your prepared for all of them. Halloween, Thanksgiving, Hanakkah, Christmas, Kwanzaa and New Years'. Each has it's own distinct set of colors and scents. Make sure that if you are going to make candles for these holidays that you have adequate supplies. Here are a few listed below:

Wax
Wicks
Containers
Molds
Plugs
Mold release
Colors
Scents
Additives
Wax paints

Also be sure to check your equipment. Remember that safety is your priority. If you use a wax melter, check to make sure it is operating at the proper temperature. Start each batch with a test to make sure consistency and quality are maintained. This is the time also to try any new or untested candle projects that you are interested in producing for others. But most of all, just remember to have fun.
