These days, you're bound to hear the name Megan Fox on television, the radio, and everyday conversations. In case you don't know who Megan Fox is, she's the young woman in Transformers, the dark-haired vixen that just seems science-fiction hot. Her newest role will be a beautiful, popular cheerleader named Jennifer that the girls want to befriend and the boys want to date.
Jennifer's Body, the latest film from Diablo Cody, who wrote the meg-hit film Juno, tells the story of Jennifer who becomes a sacrifice at a rock band's ritual. The ritual backfires and Jennifer becomes possessed by a demon, and starts feeding off of the boys in her high school. Jennifer seduces each victim before her murderous attacks. It seems as though the only hope for this madness is Needy, Jennifer's plain-Jane best friend.
"I think I'm pretty sexy in it," Megan says. "You'd better put on your sexy shoes for this movie."
Megan drew differences between Jennifer's Body and Transformers, claiming that the lack of special effects encouraged a stronger performance. "There are no robots to distract you from whatever performance I give, so if it's terrible you will know. But the character was so much fun. I felt I was being able to make fun of my own image."
Megan has raised many eyebrows with her brash comments and obsession with mimicking Angelina Jolie's appearance. She claims this new role allows her to poke fun at herself, at her image portrayed in the media. "I sort of felt like I was being able to make fun of my own image, sort of, as to how some people might perceive Megan Fox to be. I was just sort of flying freely and I hope some of it worked."
Does the lack of robots push Megan to give this role a more solid performance as a zombie cheerleader? Find out on September 18, 2009, the film's theatrical release in the US and Canada.
