Candace Cameron Bure - Where Is She Now?
Guest Author - Elizabeth Borer

It is rare to meet someone who has not seen Full House, either in it's regular run or in syndication on ABC Family and Nick at Nite. So to mention Candace Cameron Bure, she may be better recognized as DJ Tanner on the show. Since the end of the series in 1995, Candace's most notable work was on 2 television movies: "No One Would Tell" and "She Cried No".

In 1996, Candace married NHL hockey player Valeri Bure. The couple have 3 children; Natasha, Lev and Maksim. It was near the time that the couple started their family that Candace took a break from her career to focus on her husband and children. The family has a deep focus on Christian values and Candace does much of her current work for churches and Christian publications.

In 2007, fans of Candace saw her appear as a guest host on the ABC program, The View as well as an appearance on the Disney Channel show That's So Raven. Candace also co-starred in the PureFlix film The Wager, which also starred Randy Travis, Jude Ciccolella and Bronson Pinochet. The film focuses on a film star who has his faith tested by tragedy. In addition to Candace's recent acting roles, she also is a regular contributor to the web based Christian publication, Christian Women Online.

According to Candace's website, she is planning on launching a clothing line in 2008 -- a trend that is very big right now for celebrities. Aside from this work, Candace's family is what is truly the main priority in her life. On October 18, 2007 Candace appeared on NBC's Today Show to discuss how she has been able to avoid all of the temptations that other child stars have fallen prey to, especially in recent years. Candace credits her successful marriage and scandal-free life to the way she was raised and the involvement of her parents in her life and the life of her brother, Kirk Cameron, from Growing Pains. Candace commented on her choice to put her career on hold and focus on her family:

The way I was raised, family was always the most important. When I had our first daughter, Natasha, I knew that's what I wanted to do. It wasn't always easy at times, having grown up on television and being in the entertainment industry. But I'm so happy and thankful I made it a point to be a stay-at-home mom and raise them through such important times in their lives.
