Tina Turner, self-described queen of rock 'n roll, is now on tour. The tour starts in the U.S. in October of 2008, hits a few dates in Canada and then moves through Europe from January through April of 2009. Yes, her legs are still great and her hair is as eye-catching as ever. The tour, for some reason, is sponsored by Amway. They don't ask you to buy glass cleaners at the door, though you may be asked to recruit your friends. Kidding. I think.

In other Tina Turner news, Turner and Aretha Franklin are embroiled in a media battle about who exactly is the queen of what. Aretha Franklin claims to be the queen of rock 'n roll while Tina Turner claims that title for herself and says that Franklin is actually the queen of soul. The back-and-forth snipes have been keeping the tabloids busy, but most people likely have room in their hearts for two queens of classic rock.
