A Scrapping Good Time
Guest Author - Lawanda Kress

The 2003 West Virginia Spring Scrap Camp is set for March 19-21 (Friday 5pm-Sunday 3pm) at the Cedar Lakes Convention Center in Ripley, WV. It is an exciting weekend of fun, food, shopping, learning and NON-STOP CROP! If you live anywhere near, it is a must-do!

Here are some tidbits from the camp director’s web page:

"Cropping Room

Around the clock cropping will be available to you in our cropping room. We will be set up in a large hall, with plenty of room for you and all your tools! We are planning to have 2-3 croppers per 8 foot table When you arrive at Scrap Camp, you can set up your space at a cropping table to do as you wish with your supplies, and you don't have to pack up until you are ready to go home Sunday! You will be able to come and go as you please to shop the vendors, eat the great food, learn a new technique at one of the classes, take pictures at the covered bridge or other great photo spots, take a nap ~ whatever you choose!

If you are one of those late night scrappers, then don't worry! The cropping room will be open until the last cropper leaves! When everyone has left, we will lock up the room for the rest of the night (or should I say morning!) So you don't have to worry about your supplies while you sleep.

There will also be a worktable with cutting tools (die cut machine), punches and scissors for you to use as you wish.

There will also be a Camp Store available for you to buy supplies if you need them! We will have several vendors to supply all your cropping needs! There is nothing like jumping up to go get that perfect sheet of paper for your work in process!"

Spring Camp Survivors speak:

"I have been to several retreats and yours was by far the most creative and well ran that I have attended! Thanks for all of the hard work." Jane Seabaugh

"I came home with so many prizes and goodies that I will have to buy a new crop bag to put it all in!" Amy Flarty
