Dinner and a Chat

Dinner and a Chat
Recently, a friend of mine complained to me how hard it was to get her teenagers to talk about what happened in school that day, or what was going on in their life.

Dinner time was the best time her family had a chance to relax and talk with one another. The only problem was they rarely were talking with one another due to the i-Pods, cell phones and text messages!

I thought of my favorite, easy recipe, along with a list of questions to help her family get back on track, and communicating with each other instead of electronic devices (at least during dinner).

This recipe is quick and delicious! Most importantly, it's followed by intriguing questions that can be a starting point for conversations between you and your kids.

Quick and Easy Chicken and Stuffing

Ingredients:

1 pack of boneless, skinless, chicken breasts
1 box or bag of dry stuffing mix
1 box of chicken broth
1 can of cream of chicken or mushroom soup
1 cup of white wine

Directions:

1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.

2. Bring chicken broth to a broil over medium high heat.

3. Combine cream of chicken or mushroom soup with white wine in a bowl.

4. Add stuffing to chicken broth to desired consistency.

5. Spread stuffing mixture in pan.

6. Add chicken breasts to pan.

7. Pour soup and wine mixture over chicken breasts.

8. Bake for thirty minutes at 350 degrees.

Dinner Topics:

Don’t feel like you have to answer them all at one meal. Why not have a ball cap, basket, or bowl where questions are drawn from at random?
