Sweetie, the Budgie

Sweetie is a sweet little Budgie who recently came into my home and my life. He is a very pretty blue with spangle wings.

Sweetie belongs to a woman who I met many years ago when I sold a baby hand-fed Budgie to her. That Budgie was also named Sweetie and he lived for many years. He died, as a senior citizen, a few years ago and was replaced by a new Sweetie that I helped her find.

Sweetie's owner was one of two lovely ladies who kept in contact with me after I sold babies Budgies to them. I would see them twice a year to trim their birds nails and trim enough feathers on their wings to slow them down a bit.

Sweetie's owner is now 94 years of age and is suddenly not able to live on her own in her own home as she had done until now. Unfortunately, Sweetie is unable to live with her now and he needed a new home. I was contacted and asked if I would be able to take him and without hesitation I agreed to add him to my home.

A male hand-fed Budgie is apt to be a talker and Sweetie is no exception. So far I have not been able to understand much of what he says, but I do know that he says "hi Sweetie" and think he says "watch tv". I have put a short video of Sweetie up and would appreciate it if you would watch and listen to see if you can figure out any other words he says. He is difficult to see because he was on top of a cage, but there is another video of him there and you can see him in that by looking at my other videos.

You can see the "hi Sweetie" video here.

If you can figure anything out, please post what you think on the forum or contact me by clicking on my name at the top of this article to get to my contact page.
