This new feature presents an electronic version of my new Terra Tarot Deck, one card at a time. The thirty-first card available for download is The Knight of Cups.

The symbology used in my rendition of the Knight of Cups shows a brave unarmed knight calmly and slowly riding his noble white steed, ready for action and primed to protect the peaceful kingdom he surveys around him, yet moving in a slow deliberate, peaceful manner. This is a Knight that relies not only on his physical prowess and strength, but also his intuition and inner wisdom. The Knight of Cups represents glad tidings, a message of love, and news of impending romance and possibly a marriage proposal. This card also reminds us to pay attention to our dreams, since they can be a strong vehicle for spiritual messages.
The Knight of Cups and his magnificant white horse also symbolizes the process of setting personal goals based on our own unique dreams and aspirations, then applying the strength of the Knight to take action and bring them to fruitation. He calls you to develop compassion, charm and creativity, since these traits and abilities will help you to make your way in the world with grace and success, and to be a blessing to the world.
Since the theme of this deck is Terra, our Mother Earth, I elected to begin this illustration using a beautiful water and mountain landscape that showcases a young but soft looking mountain that nestles along the bank of calm deep waters. The entire landscape is quite blue in hue since the Cups are associated with the color blue.
Above the Knight rests a decorative Merkaba which represents the metaphysical spirit "vehicle" that becomes activated as we balance our chakras, meridians, and lifeforce. To the right of the Merkaba, flies a white dove, symbolizing peace and love. To either side of the Merkaba hang the elemental Water symbol to the left, and the female gender symbol to the right, since the Cups suit are considered to be feminine in nature.
