Hey there how are you doing?
January is always a tough month, when you’re all spent up, tired from all those parties and there’s really not much happening now to… well Easter!
I am sure we have all sat next to some strange people in our time as solo travellers, I know I have. Amongst others I’ve met small children that like to fart, old people who like to snore and then the weird one who definitely liked to talk! Its always pot luck on who you sit next to and as I am rather tall I have been known on one of my braver days to ask for a seat with extra legroom, I then ended up next to the escape route. I spent the whole trip dreading that if we did crash I wouldn’t be strong enough to open the door and then everyone would die! (I was young!)
Well now there is a sure fire way of making sure that you get along with your fellow seatmates. Its called www.Airtroductions.com and it is a way for people who are travelling alone, to check out who else is on their flight, as long as you and they have already registered on the site of course!
It can be used for people who just want to have something in common with fellow travellers on a long haul flight, or for business types to find out if anyone is going to the same seminar or has the same business interests. Also as suggested you can use it to find a (travelling) partner.
All you do is register, fill in your profile, put in your flight details and then browse to your hearts content to see who else has left their details and why! Also it is possible to send people messages and chat to them before the flight so you can really know what you’re getting into.
For me though that’s part of the whole experience you know? Whether I get some old drunk or a young nubile young stud! (Wishful thinking me thinks!) and what happens if it’s like internet dating when he’s told you he’s 32, fit and dark haired. You then end up sitting next to a 50 year old, large bald bugger! Not that there is anything wrong with looking like that, but just don’t lie about it.
Whatever your views are it’s worth a look and then you can make up your own mind. As I have learnt the hard way, it does help to keep an open mind about most things!
