OBE's and NDE's

Have you ever had dreams that felt more like experiences? Are there times after you wake when you feel unable to move but recall the sensation of floating or flying? With other traits such as resonating sounds and vibrations, taking a private peak into the mystical life of the soul may be easier than you think!

You would think in order to experience the full effects of something, you would need to first believe the possibility exists. When it comes to our sixth sense, however, often many of the experiences we have seem to find us whether we hold a great deal of faith in them or not.

OBE’s (out of body experiences ) and NDE-like experiences (similar to near death experiences but without the trauma) are one of the few more common experiences we may encounter. Some studies indicate 1 out of 10 people have them with an even higher percentage going unreported. We may be more inclined to notice these types of experiences because they emerge primarily in our sleep when we are in a deeper state of consciousness and are less likely to be distracted.

They are often described as producing a separation between the physical body and consciousness and can be induced with physical or mental trauma, in addition to sleep. Often they are accompanied with a brilliant white or bluish white light and personalities such as deceased relatives, spiritual beings or angels.

Vibrations and the sensation of floating, flying or even teleporting to other locations are fairly standard and at times carry validating circumstances such as friends or relatives who attest to a dream or vision of the person having the OBE. Some people also find when traveling at high rates of speed, say with a motorcycle or rollercoaster they are spontaneously able to view their body from above.

There is a great deal of speculation as to the purpose behind these experiences. Some attribute them to a simple brain malfunction reacting to physical or mental trauma, while others conclude they are a natural reflection of our origins; traveling consciousness weaving in and out of the intricate and universal grid we are all a part of.

Either way, to the people having them, many seem to need no other proof than the experiences themselves and continue to broaden their perspective in terms of the life they experience now!
