Angelina Jolie’s labour stories have stormed through television and radio station walls, reporting that her twins have finally arrived.
The latest buzz is that Entertainment Tonight aired a story about the birth of her twins even after they were allegedly informed that sources came from an impostor. Apparently, Jolie’s assistant, Holly Goline has an impostor running around, telling tabloids and media reps that Jolie has had her twins.
The show posted a story on its website on Friday morning, announcing the birth of Jolie’s twins.
Although Entertainment Tonight refused to name the source at the time the story was published, it later stated that the news piece was based on information—emails—that were believed to be from Jolie’s assistant, Holly Goline. However, Goline told Entertainment Tonight that she had not been the one emailing that Jolie had her twins. In fact, Sharlette Hambrick, an ET producer claimed that she received a BlackBerry email address for Goline from another source at CNN. Hambrick reportedly emailed that BlackBerry address—presumably Goline’s—asking for confirmation that Jolie had delivered the twins. The reply stated that she had given birth, which spewed several media stories.
According to the Associated Press, when Hambrick emailed that BlackBerry address she believed to belong to Goline, asking if Jolie had given birth, the response came back as, “Yes she did. I was actually in the room with her. They are doing fine and so is Mom”.
When Hambrick called the actual Goline, she asked for more details, and Goline replied that Hambrick had been corresponding with an imposter. Goline later stated, “This is not my email”.
Entertainment Tonight continues to state that it had not known of the imposter until after they posted the story on their website. As a highly-rated entertainment outlet, ET fosters an average nightly audience of over 6 million viewers.
The twins’ first photographs are estimated to be worth $10 million, sure to be one of the most expensive celebrity baby photos to date.
Where is the impersonating Goline? Some sources claim that the fake assistant has been under investigation for about a year. There is still no sign of her.
Where’s Brad in all of this? Pitt was recently spotted purchasing more than $500,000 worth of furniture at a design expo in Switzerland. His extravagant purchases include two Ron Arad chairs priced at $25,000 and a couch for $300,000.
The twins are reportedly due in August.
