The Moon Terra Tarot Card

Terra Tarot Deck Feature

This new feature presents an electronic version of my new Terra Tarot Deck, one card at a time. The thirty-sixth card available for download is the number 18 card of the Major Arcana, The Moon.

Terra Tarot Deck - The Moon

The symbology used in my rendition of the Moon includes a serious-looking, glowing Moon face, shining above a brightly lit nightscape. Behind the Moon lie two peaked mountains which represent the unconscious and conscious minds: below it lie deep, mysterious waters which represent the deepness of our beings. On the shore, two wolves howl at the moon, representing our emotions and deep primal nature. One wolf is black, the other is silver which represents all of our emotions including the dark ones such as fear and anger and the brignt ones such as love and compassion. The Moon bids us to unite them all: the levels of our mind as well as our whole emotional spectrum.

The Moon is a symbol of intense creativity, deep inner intuitions and awareness, but also of fear and potential threat of enemies or indifference from others. If you draw this card during a reading, the Moon warns you to exercise discernment and to ensure that you react to people from a space of stability and centeredness - not raw emotion. It also bids you to engage in reflection to recognize your own emotional blocks and repressed memories. You need to process these, then release them to ensure that your own emotional health is all it can be. It also indicates that you may experience heightened episodes of psychic insight or mystical experiences, such as visions or prophesies.

Since the theme of this deck is Terra, our Mother Earth, I elected to begin this illustration using a mysterious night scene.

Above the Moon rests a decorative Merkaba which represents the metaphysical spirit "vehicle" that becomes activated as we balance our chakras, meridians, and lifeforce. The symbol for Pisces lies in the upper left corner, since this card resonates to the Piscean energies. To the right lies the female gender symbol since the Moon vibrates with feminine power. A single dove flies through the air to the left of the Moon, signifying harmony, peace and new hope.

I am presenting an online version of the Terra Deck for our Bella readers. Just click on the banner below to download your copy of the Moon. Right click on the image that comes up and save to your selected folder.
