This red headed parrot finch got himself into the background of another finch jigsaw puzzle recently and I thought he would make a good subject for this week's puzzle. Thanks to Mark Bratka for allowing me to use his wonderful pictures. You can find interesting information at his website Assorted Avian Topics.
As always, you may have to scroll over to get the whole puzzle in your window. You can make this harder (or easier) by changing the size and shape of puzzle pieces.

The Parrot Finch is a colourful and very active finch. The Red Headed Parrot Finch is probably the one most commonly kept as a pet. Due to their activity level, they do best if kept in a flight or aviary instead of a cage. Although finches are small birds, they need more room to fly than most cages allow.
I have selected some of my favourite finch books and supplies at Finch Store at Amazon.com for you to see. Many of these items are also available at Amazon.ca as well.
Do you keep finches or do you want to keep finches? Do you breed finches or do you want to breed finches? I have to say that I haven't met a finch that I didn't like. Please drop by the birds forum where there are always helpful people who know and love these birds and who would love to talk to you about your birds.
