Dancing With The Stars Season 13

Dancing With The Stars Season 13
I can't believe I've been watching this silly show for thirteen years now! The hit TV reality dance show kicks off its 13th season on September 19th at 8:00 pm ET/PT on ABC with a new celebrity ensemble that has people really talking.

Two of the stars, transsexual Chaz Bono, and gay star Carson Kressley from "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy', have family-friendly viewers worried that the producers of the show have finally crossed the line. Other viewers will laugh and say that the family-friendly line was crossed from Day 1 when those skimpy outfits first debuted on the dance floor.

Fox News' Keith Ablow advises parents to not allow their children to watch the episodes in which Chaz Bono appears. He says "The last thing vulnerable children and adolescents need, as they wrestle with the normal process of establishing their identities, is to watch a captive crowd in a studio audience applaud on cue for someone whose search for an identity culminated with the removal of her breasts, the injection of steroids and possibly more surgeries."

Chaz Bono (formerly Chastity Bono) recently wrote a book entitled "Transition" and is using the Dancing With the Stars gig as part of his promotional "victory" tour. Viewers are hoping to see his mom, Cher, cheering in the audience. She has been very supportive of her daughter-turned-son, recently tweeting "I support him no matter what he chooses to do...it took courage to do DWTS! Thank God Chaz has an unlimited supply."

The new cast includes the following celebrities:
•Ricki Lake (Former talk show host/actress)
•Rob Kardashian (Kim Kardashian's brother)
•Chaz Bono (Transgender advocate)
•Kristin Cavallari ("The Hills" star)
•Chynna Phillips (Wilson Phillips)
•David Arquette (Actor)
•Elisabetta Canalis (George Clooney's ex)
•Nancy Grace (News anchor)
•Hope Solo (Soccer player)
•Ron Artest (Los Angeles Lakers player)
•J.R. Martinez ("All My Children" star)
•Carson Kressley ("Queer Eye for the Straight Guy" star)

It was reported that Carson Kressley was originally going to be partnered to dance with one of the professional male dancers, but producers ultimately have paired him with a female. He's extremely entertaining and is sure to provide plenty of humor to the bedazzled drama that is this show.

Thank goodness, quick-witted Tom Bergeron is back to host the glitz and glamour. I think he's truly one of the best TV hosts on air today. His co-host, Brooke Burke, also returns and offers unique insight, as she was the season seven champion.

Also returning are the judges: renowned ballroom dance judge Len Goodman, and dancers/choreographers Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba.

Will I be plopped on the couch another season? Yep. Will my kids? Nope; I have all sons who laugh at me every year for indulging.
