She struts, croons, and saunters on stage but on January 10, 2009, Fergie walked down the aisle to marry actor Josh Duhamel in one fergalicious wedding. And what would a fergalicious wedding consist of? Diamonds, of course. That is, millions of dollars worth of custom-made diamonds by the internationally renowned jeweler, H. Stern.
Fergie, a fan of H. Stern's, worked with him and his design team to create the engagement ring, wedding bands, and even the accessories for the entire wedding party.
The engagement ring features a round, 4 carat cut diamond set among several other diamonds on the band, with colours ranging from white to cognac. A more simple and narrow wedding band was created to match the engagement ring; both the ring and the band are made with H. Stern's signature 18K Noble Gold, an antiqued flesh tone.
Duhamel's wedding band was made in 18K white gold. Both the bride and the groom had bands with special engravings.
So, how much did all this cost? Fergie sported more than six million dollars of H. Stern's jewellery which also included a necklace and diamond earrings worn as hair accessories. Her necklace, a Venus, had over 80 carats of diamonds, while a Lizard Diamond cuff bracelet completed the set. Fergie had specifically chosen a lizard shape because of its Native American symbol for wisdom.
The groom sparkled too with a pair of 18K white gold cufflinks, set with white and black diamonds, found in H. Stern's men's line.
The glitz and glamour doesn't stop there. The seven bridesmaids each received a pair of Zephyr diamond hair clips. Each clip is priced at $3,000.
At the reception, Fergie swapped her ceremony jewellery for H. Stern's Artemis earrings, a white gold necklace, and bracelets from the Stern Star Collection.
