100 Simple Secrets to the Best Half of Life

100 Simple Secrets to the Best Half of Life

I seem to be on a roll lately. With all of the well, shakin’ and bakin’ going on, I feel compelled to put some good vibes out there. I happen to believe that what we focus on makes a lot of difference in the world. Getting older is a good thing even though we don’t always realize it. By the time we reach the second half of our lives we can take a deep breath and stop racing around so much. We get to say “been there and done that” we get to decline to be driven by the racing rats and we can choose to make a permanent place for the word “enjoy” in our lives.

Life is always changing but real life is what you make it. If you make a decision to be old at 55 guess what? You’re old. If you make a decision to never stop growing and learning and having loving experiences then you will always have them. There’s a saying that you can’t teach an old dog new tricks, well I push that theory right out of the window. You can teach an old, young or in between dog and his owners new tricks every day.

In his book 100 Simple Secrets to the Best of Life, Author David Niven, PhD, share stories of hundreds of baby boomers who are thriving in the second half of their lives. His book looks at 100 ways to find joy, happiness, health and fulfillment in the second half of life. Each secret is accompanies with a true story show how individuals put the secrets into action to create a richer life.

If you know someone who is approaching the second half of life or if they are already therem this is a great gift to pass along to them. Let them know that this is not the time to wind down; it’s time to shift gears and rev life up a bit.

If you are a business owner try creating special services for those entering the second half of life. You can organize a local Best Half of Life Art Exhibit, or a Best Half of Life Fitness Walk or Adventure. This is a great way to gain exposure for your business while sending a message to everyone that you know life does not end at 50, 60, 70 or even 80!
