Polly, the Double Yellowhead Amazon says hi as she posed for this picture for her human Dee Finch. Dee was kind enough to let me use this photo for a jigsaw puzzle. As always, you may have to scroll over to get the whole puzzle in view - and you can make this harder (or easier) by changing the size and shape of puzzle pieces.

Polly was a brood hen before she came to live with Dee. When Polly became ill, she was placed with Dee until a new home could be found for her. Once Polly had been in her home for half an hour though, there was no way Dee was going to let her go anywhere else. As Dee put it "she was happily married to a little green person".

Since Polly was not raised as a pet, she is not a cuddly bird, but she does enjoy being pet and is not one that attacks a hand when it is put into her cage. She enjoys time out of the cage to play and interact.

Polly loves her shower time. It is best if the vacuum cleaner is going and some loud music is playing in the background and then it is fun in the spray time. Like most Amazon Parrots, she loves to get really wet while she sings and whistles, spreads her wings and hangs upside down at times.
