Chumper, the Blue Front Amazon Jigsaw Puzzle

Chumper, the Blue Front Amazon is the much loved pet of Diane and Andy Woods. Their daughter, Natasha took his picture while he was settling in for a nap on top of the bookcase. Thank you for allowing me to use this picture Natasha.

As always, you can make this easier (or harder) by changing the size and shape of puzzle pieces. You may have to scroll over to get the whole puzzle in your computer window.

Chumper was a baby when he came to live with the Woods in 1981. He lives a bit of a spoiled lifestyle, which I wish every bird could, eating breakfast with the family and getting to share his favourite foods at other meals as well.

The Woods have learned which singers he likes and will put on a Brenda Lee or Roy Orbison song for him to sing along with. Chumper talks, with his favourite phrases being "pretty bird" and "what ya doin chump". Of course, sounds are meant to be imitated, so he can also be heard barking like a dog or meowing like a cat from time to time.

Chumper has learned to cry like a baby when he is scared. Natasha tells me about the time he went under his cage and got stuck. He cried, but no one heard him until one of the cats ran to get Diane. Apparently the cat, Little Nash and Chumper are great friends.
