Here is what Debra had to say about her buddy Emma

"Emma Jane was born July 18, 2005. For those who follow astrology, she is true to her cancer-sun traits: curious, determined, confident, and yet also sensitive. She loves to cuddle. Many people do not think of birds as animals which like to cuddle, but Emma does.
We sleep in the same room and at night when I turn off the light she says, “I love you,” to which I, of course, respond “I love you.” She showers daily, and looks a bit like a drowned rat when she’s wet. Emma is meticulous about being clean and smelling pretty.
She is such a happy little bird. Emma laughs all the time. She brings joy to everyone in the room. She also charms friends and strangers alike by responding “Hello” to anyone who speaks directly to her. People love this! She says “tink ewe” for peanuts, even though she really prefers pistachio nuts."
