Career Renegade Book Review

Career Renegade speaks a direct affirmation to the part of you that has always wanted someone to come along a say with confidence and authority “ah. . .just go for it, you can do it." That “you can do it” resonates through the book as he tells the story of how he did it. How he changed his life or it would be best to say that his life changed him and took him off of the path of law and to onto the entrepreneur highway. He learned how to navigate the new terrain and then master it. Career Renegade is a solid work that offers anyone with the desire to change their life, a real way to do it. It’s not about philosophy, good ideas or wishing. It’s about creating a strategy that will lead you to the new emerging supply of resources that can be found all around us.

Career Renegade has examples, stories and countless resources to help you create a plan to do work that you love and get well paid for it. That’s the key, doing work that you love and getting paid well for it. While Fields gives out more intelligent enthusiasm than one can process in one or even a few sittings, he’s careful to point out that the successful Career Renegade works hard. That along the way one will encounter setbacks, challenges and mistakes that when put in the right perspective are all opportunities for growth.
Chapters like, “Turn Your Passion Loose in Unexpected Places” and “How to Be a Renegade without Ending up Divorced and Penniless” keep you going through each new topic as if gasoline is being put into a dry tank. At the end there’s energy, possibly synergy if you utilized a few of many, many resources in the book.

He takes the hopeful renegade through various options such as teaching others what you know and creating an income generating membership website or blog.

It is evident that Jonathan Fields is an authority on this subject. The book is generous with “use right now” resources, ideas, examples to get anyone who has wanted to change careers and tap into their own unique passion to take the step to do it. This is a resource that you will draw you back again and again as it is sure to become a working tool as you create your own strategy to live a life that you love and move from having a job to a Career Renegade.
