Robby Krieger, the guitarist for The Doors, has a solo career that has put him in front of audiences all over the U.S. and Europe. He often tours with Ray Manzarek, the Doors keyboardist. He is releasing a new solo album, Singularity, on June 29.
Krieger wrote some of the most famous songs of The Doors, including "Light My Fire" and "Touch Me." He has continued writing songs throughout his solo career, including a solo album in 2000. Cinematix included Edgar Winter and was largely an instrumental album.
Singularity features 10 tracks and is a mixture of jazz, r & b and classical music.
Robby Krieger may not have the benefit of his Doors bandmates for this solo effort, but he does hold his own in the world of guitarists. Rolling Stone named him number 91 of the 100 best guitarists of all time.
