Invitation from Author
Guest Author - Heather C. Guidone

Kerry-Ann is writing a book about Endo, and you're invited to share your stories! From the author:

"This book about Endometriosis is totally different than the other books out now. Primarily, my goal is to educate more people, especially more women and the medical community, about this disease through the voices of the women themselves. By doing so then they will see that we are talking reality here and not just what is in our heads, as was and, in some cases, still the belief. Like cancer, I want there to be greater discussion about this disease and further research. We, as those who live with this disease, are the ones to make this a reality by putting our voices forward and telling our stories; let people see what our lives are like with this disease and create greater public awareness of this awful disease. At the same time we tell other women that they are not alone as there are women in the wider world who have this disease just like you and I, people who understand what they are going through. We also tell these women that there is life after diagnosis and we should not let this disease destroy our lives but indeed strengthen our resolve to live beyond endo. I especially want to get at those younger women and adolescents who have this disease. I was 20 when I was diagnosed and I didn't even know that endo could affect us younger women! My cousin had it but I didn't have anyone my age to talk to about this. I want the younger women to know that they are not alone either and that they have the support of other women their ages who also have this disease. This is my mission and I am hoping that the women on this forum can help in this project."
