Wedding Attendant Gift Ideas

Wedding Attendant Gift Ideas
I have been receiving a lot of questions lately, regarding customs, traditions and the general role and routines of the wedding day. Also a great number of bridal styling questions. I have decided that with all the common questions I am receiving I will start picking a few questions a week to answer in my articles. This article will be under the subject of The Cinderella Report. This is in addition to my weekly article. I do hope these weekly answers help. Just keep those questions coming.

This weeks number one question was written in varying forms. The basics behind the question were “ what do I give as bridesmaids gifts?” I remind my readers and clients, these are women that are close to you. These are women that have grown up with you or work with you. You know these women well, if you personally don't there is some one around you who does. Why else would they be in your wedding party. Anyway you get the point.

I myself love choosing original gifts. There is no written rule that states you have to give your bridesmaids or Maid of Honor a silver plated, monogrammed bottle stopper, simply because you saw it in a bridal book. I always take a few things into consideration. Ask yourself these questions. What are the persons hobbies or interests? What kind of lifestyle do they lead? Also what kind of items seem to be important to them?

I have created a short list for you to add to. This encompasses some gifts ideas that I have suggested to the Bride.

For the beauty advocate.
A gift certificate for a facial or a spa treatment. Or a series of treatments that will help your girl feel like a million dollars. Or even a gift certificate to a nail salon.

A spa bucket or basket. Loaded with all kinds of goodies. Face masks, scrubs, lotions, creams and tools. You have the general idea. I call it the feel good kit. You can create labels and print them out to personalize the gift. Wrap in colored cellophane and a bow, in your wedding colors. You are good to go. (This is one of my faves, everyone loves beauty goodies.)

For the bookworm.
A few great novels by her favorite author or by book theme added to a basket. ( I know, again with the basket) filed with hot chocolate mixes and teas, as well as a great cozy throw. Or a diary and pen set with teas and a mug. I think you are probably getting the point by now.

My basic idea is look at the people themselves who are in the wedding party. It does not have to be “matchy-matchy”that they all get the same gift. It just needs to be a thoughtful gift. I hope this has helped a little. Stay tuned for the next Cinderella Report containing answers to your question. Keep asking and I will keep answering. This is Sandra Sable signing off for now, till next time. Lets talk Weddings.
