Questions to Ponder

Questions to Ponder
Hi ladies; I have been receiving quite a few emails for this busy wedding season. As I usually do when I get interesting emails I share. That way if you have similar questions, these answers may help. This usually comes under the heading of the Cinderella Report.

Alright, lets get started with some of the questions.

Do we have to invite all those that attend the wedding ceremony to the reception?

Well this in my mind, is a touchy situation. I personally believe all really should be invited to the wedding reception. I personally feel it is in bad taste not to include everyone. If it is a money issue, discuss with your caterer a revised menu, plainly stating your budget. The wedding ceremony is such a short time frame to really have all the guests spend quality time with the couple.

How many bridesmaids do you have to have in a wedding party?

You really don't need to have any bridesmaids in your party, or you can have as many as will fit in the ceremony area, (or as many as you care to buy dresses for). There really is no magic number, it is up to you.

Do all the bridesmaids dresses have to match?

I have several different thoughts on this. I don't believe that everything needs to match. You can have the Maid of Honor in one color and the bridesmaids in another color, you can also change up the styles, so each flatters each person in the best way. They can also all wear the same dresses, in different colors, or all wear varying shades of the same color. It is your wedding, dream it and live it.

Do we have to serve dinner at the reception?

You do not need to serve dinner, we have created some great receptions on an appetizer based menu, but you need to let people know exactly what type of reception you are planning. This way if they would like, they can plan to grab a small bite before the reception. Okay now for the “Sandra's two
cents worth section”. Believe even when you do an appetizer party, you need to give your guests substantial amounts of food. It is my personal belief that people need to eat and enjoy. You do not want to hear, wow the wedding was beautiful but we were starving. Or they did not feed us. Just my opinion.

Well those were the questions that made it into the Cinderella Report for the month. Keep the questions coming and I will do my best to answer the. It is my busy season, it may take me a couple of days to get back to you but I will answer all questions. This is Sandra Sable signing off for now, until next time. Lets talk weddings.
