Tropical Menu Ideas

Tropical Menu Ideas
Hi ladies, just finishing up on the last couple of July weddings. I have noticed a very tropical theme this year. It seems to be a seaside, beach or luau. We worked extremely hard coming up with color palettes and menu's to suit all needs. For colors we covered tropical blue and beige. It is a peaceful palette that lends itself to all varieties of accessories.

For one lucky girl her bridal shower was Hawaiian tropics, we created beautiful table tops, using the napkins as the focal piece. The colors were pink, tropical blue and canary yellow. The napkins were fanned in the water glasses. The table centerpieces were baskets of tropical fruit.

We created a lunch menu that was a great hit. Below are or creations, if you would like any recipes, just let me know.

Kalua Pulled Pork Bun
Tender shreds of Kalua Pork topped with caramelized Maui onions, pineapple relish and citrus mayonnaise. Served on a Hawaiian bun. Accompanied with steak fries sprinkled with Alaea Red Hawaiian sea salt.

Island Chicken Wrap
Tender sliced chicken breast, topped with pineapple relish, citrus mayonnaise and shredded lettuce, all wrapped up in a flour tortilla..... savor the flavors. Accompanied with steak fries sprinkled with Alaea Red Hawaiian sea salt

Burger gone Hawaiian style
A 1/3rd pound juicy chuck steak burger. Topped with Swiss cheese, thin sliced ham and a pineapple ring. Lavished with our citrus mayonnaise and crisp shredded lettuce. Served on a Hawaiian bun. Accompanied again with steak fries sprinkled with Alaea Red Hawaiian sea salt.

Gingered Shrimp Salad
Fresh greens, olives, tomato's and red onions tossed with pineapple ginger vinaigrette and crowned with tender bay shrimp. Served with garlic toast. A great light meal.

For drinks we did Mai Tai's in virgin and full bore, as well as Blue Hawaii's. Then dessert ( you can never forget about dessert) a beautiful coconut pineapple cheesecake and of course pineapple upside down minis.
This menu does not necessarily have to be Hawaiian, it can center around any tropical destination or beach you have in mind.

My favorite thing is creating menus and recipes. I believe food is just as much a part of the décor as, well the décor.

If any one needs any menu design, please feel free to email, as well the great signature drink recipes so many of you have requested and enjoyed. This is Sandra Sable signing off until next time, lets talk weddings.
