Working with Destiny

Working with Destiny
Destiny or fate as some like to call it, is something most of us, even if it’s in the back of our minds, secretly wonder if there isn’t something to it. As we look from a higher perspective, even if at one time there were signs all around, due to the realities of the world we live, we may wonder because we had to make certain decisions, whether or not we had lost our one chance to see it unfold?

Losing our chance with destiny would be a bit like falling off a map simply because we exchanged one destination for another. Though we “may not be in Kansas anymore" we’re still a part of the bigger picture and simply need to find a way back to that personal yellow brick road we took to get us where we are at currently, in the first place. But how do we go about doing it? In a way, we simply need to click our heels.

In the Wizard of Oz, to get back home, the power was within Dorothy all along. All she had to do was click her heels three times, while saying the words, “There’s no place like home.” It was that easy. Taking a hold of destiny’s hand is a bit the same thing.

Belief, perception, being open to destiny‘s tentacles is all we need to do to get back on the path destiny has in store. But, when things aren’t going so well, that can be difficult because everything around us feels foreign and uncomfortable.

There are two manifesting portions of destiny. There's the inner segment and outer. The latter is the place we’ll end up getting to if we allow it. Inner destiny is that thing inside, that gnawing sensation that’s with us no matter what. No matter how good or bad something might be, it’s that one idea or perception, a longing that gives us tingles and flutters when we think about it. It’s a part of our soul and even if we tried, it’s virtually impossible to let it go.

If you’ve ever lost something like a watch or earring with sentimental value, only to let go of the search and some months later end up smack dab on top of it while doing something else, like plopping down on the basement floor, something you never do, because you’re having a rough day, you’re observing inner and outer destiny at work. No matter how much you might have given up on the hopes of finding the beloved item, the emotional and physical values aligned amidst everything else going on in your life reuniting the sentiment to its rightful owner.

No matter where we are or what we’ve been through, the Soul and everything that fuels it never dies. No matter how old we are or what we currently may be doing, whatever it is we have that inner longing for is the mechanism that aligns our destiny.

So, no matter how far away you may be, if there’s ever a time you may be ready, don’t spend all of your energy in dismay, waiting, trying to figure out a way to change all of the things around you. Let go and remember what you love. Be open to the possibility that the power is within and always has been. Click your heels together, keep firmly in mind where you want to be and repeat, “There’s no place like home!”
