Tatted Yoke in One or Two Colors.
Priscilla Yoke Crochet & Tatting book 1916, pg. 18 "Tatted Yoke in One or Two Colors."
Pattern and diagram with latticed chains in node stitch for edging or insertion or yoke. To create corners, substitute regular rings joined at the side picots for 4-6 cloverleaf motives, node stitch chain as described. Make the joining picots for these regular rings very small.

Begin this pattern with 1 shuttle and ball or 2 shuttles wound CTM in color one. Tat cloverleaf #1:
R 3 - 3 - 3 - 3 close ring (clr) do not reverse work (dnrw)
R 3 + (join to previous ring) 2 - 2 - 2 - 2 - 3 clr dnrw
R 3 + (join to previous ring) 3 - 3 - 3 clr reverse work (rw)

CH 9 sets of node stitch ( 4 : 4 ) rw

NOTE: Node stitch, tat a series of first half stitches followed by a series of second half stitches and repeat. The pattern will give the number of half stitches in repetition.

This cloverleaf #2 is on the opposite side of the lattice.

Using color two and shuttle and ball or 2 shuttles tat cloverleaf #3
R 3 - 3 + (join to cloverleaf #1)3 - 3 close ring (clr) do not reverse work (dnrw)
R 3 + (join to previous ring) 2 - 2 - 2 - 2 - 3 clr dnrw
R 3 + (join to previous ring) 3 - 3 - 3 clr reverse work (rw)

CH 9 sets of node stitch ( 4 : 4 ) rw

This cloverleaf #4 is on the opposite side of the lattice.
R 3 - 3 + (join to cloverleaf #2) 3 - 3 close ring (clr) do not reverse work (dnrw)
R 3 + (join to previous ring) 2 - 2 - 2 - 2 - 3 clr dnrw
R 3 + (join to previous ring) 3 - 3 - 3 clr reverse work (rw)

CH 9 sets of node stitch ( 4 : 4 ) rw

Continue in similar manner for the next two repeats. As the latticed chains begin to cross, you can join them between each set of 6 node stitch sets. A regular join or an alligator works well here.
