It is the end of another era at the Playboy Mansion. Girls Next Door stars Holly Madison, Bridget Marquardt and Kendra Wilkinson are parting ways with former boyfriend and Playboy founder Hugh Hefner. The show is currently in its fifth season on E! Entertainment Television and follows the lives of Hef and his three girlfriends.
The Girls Next Door is a look inside the Playboy Mansion as you follow the lives of Hef and his three girlfriends. Hef is known for dating multiple women at a time but none as publicly as Holly, Bridget and Kendra. The show highlighted all the parties and glamour that Hef and the Playboy mansion are famous for. It also showed the girls in their everyday silly antics just being themselves.
Rumors began to spread that the honeymoon was over for Hef and his ladies. Holly Madison has confirmed her relationship with Hef is over and that she is dating Mindfreak star Criss Angel. Kendra Wilkinson is engaged to NFL player Hank Baskett and plan to marry at the Playboy Mansion. Bridget Marquardt is moving on to other things as well.
Don't worry about Hef being all alone in that big mansion in Hollywood. He's moved on and moved in three new young ladies, Crystal Harris and twins Karissa and Kristina Shannon. E! hasn't stated whether or not the Girls Next Door will return next season with the new ladies taking over. However, the fact that Hef is dating twin sisters could provide some interesting sibling rivalry and make for an interesting dynamic.
E! has confirmed that Kendra Wilkinson will be starring in her own show that will feature her and fiancee Hank Baskett. The show will follow Kendra and her everyday life sans Hugh Hefner as she does her own thing and prepares for wedded bliss. Any fan of the Girls Next Door will be tuning in to see Kendra and her new life without her former beau.
The Girls Next Door have made their mark on reality television and revitalized the Playboy brand. It will be interesting to see what all of Hef's "Girls", current and former, will do next.
