Avoiding Triggers for Heart Failure
Guest Author - Ruby Joiner

In heart failure, the heart has difficulty pumping blood to the body. Triggers upset the delicate balance in your body making it harder for your heart to pump effectively. When your hear suddenly cannot pump the blood that your body needs, symptoms of sudden heart failure develop. In sudden heart failure, the body does not have time to compensate for the poor pumping or filling function of the heart. Sudden heart failure is an emergency room situation.
Some information that you can pass on to your patients include: sudden heart failure can be prevented by avoiding certain things that can trigger it.Not all people are sensitive to or react to the same triggers. What may cause sudden heart failure in one person may not cause another person difficulty. To avoid sudden heart failure you should pay attention to your usual heart symptoms. Changes in your weight, breathing, and swelling( usually first noticed in the feet and legs) may indicate that your heart failure is getting worse. Reminding your patients to keep their diet, excercise, and medication routine as close to the same schedule as possible is very important. And always avoid things that you know can trigger heart failure such as eating too much salt.
