There are many kinds of adventures. Skydiving and other extreme sports certainly qualify, but so does opening yourself to new experiences whether in your own city or through travel. That’s because an adventure results more from “how” you experience something that merely “what” you do. Here are some inspiring quotes on adventure.
“Life is either a daring adventure or nothing. To keep our faces toward change and behave like free spirits in the presence of fate is strength undefeatable.”
-Helen Keller, blind and deaf, American author and activist.
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”
-Mark Twain, American author.
“The test of an adventure is that when you're in the middle of it, you say to yourself, 'Oh, now I've got myself into an awful mess; I wish I were sitting quietly at home.' And the sign that something's wrong with you is when you sit quietly at home.”
-Thornton Wilder, American playwright and novelist.
“An inconvenience is an adventure wrongly considered.”
-Gilbert K. Chesterton, English writer.
“A man practices the art of adventure when he breaks the chain of routine and renews his life through reading new books, traveling to new places, making new friends, taking up new hobbies and adopting new viewpoints”
