Awards:
She won the Golden Globe in 1975 for Best Supporting Actress in a TV show , "All in the Family". A long time coming, and greatly deserved, she was awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in May, 2003, on her 84th birthday.

Betty Garrett's promising acting career was interrupted by the infamous "Blacklist" of the 1950's. She did revive her career in the 1970's by her regular performances on television sitcoms as Irene Lorenzo on "All in the Family" and as Edna Babish on "Laverne and Shirley".
