Gifts, Waves, and the Rock

Should I finish planting the garden today? No, the ground is too wet after all that rain. How can I meet all these deadlines? Don’t panic, write them all down and make a plan to conquer them. What can I do to help a friend who is struggling in her difficult marriage? I don’t know! Help me, Lord! I lack wisdom. Some things I have a handle on, but when it’s critical that I know what to do or say, I’m often clueless. James tells me to ask God for the wisdom I need, but there's more.

From my heart to yours

I want you to know that I pray for you. I have no idea who most of my subscribers are. It’s a confidential list that I’m not allowed to see. But some of you email me, and so I know a few names. I know that some of you live in Pakistan, Myanmar, Australia, Singapore, South Africa, and the United States. Regardless of whether I know your name or where you live, I lift you up before God and ask Him to bless you, strengthen you in whatever struggles you are facing, and show you ever more clearly the depths of His love for you.

If you haven’t taken a peek at my new blog yet, you can find it at Katalambano! Katalambano is a Greek word meaning “to lay hold of so as to make one’s own, to take into one’s self, to lay hold of with the mind, to understand, perceive, learn, comprehend.” I’m hoping to use the blog to encourage Christians in their efforts to defend the faith, and I’m open to suggestions on how I might accomplish this!
