The Career Training Connection – July 20, 2010

Quote of the week:

“If human beings are perceived as potentials rather than problems, as possessing strengths instead of weaknesses, as unlimited rather than dull and unresponsive, then they thrive and grow to their capabilities.” - Barbara Bush

Upcoming Features:

Visit us at the end of August for the next career spotlight.
If there is a career that you would like to know more about, please visit us in the forums and let us know. It may be time for your career change.

Add these to your TO-DO List:

1 – Reading isn’t just for kids. Successful people read at least 30 minutes every day. Pick up a book related to your profession, pick up the business section of the newspaper.
Impress your boss by being “in the know.”

2 – Ask your manager for a quick meeting to go over your recent performance. It lets them know that you are interested in your own performance – excellent management skills.
